Microgaming was among the first suppliers ready to enter the newly regulated Dutch online gaming market on 1 October, providing licensed operators with instant access to a diverse range of popular games as soon as the market opened.
An initial group of Microgaming customers, including state-owned gaming operator Nederlandse Loterij and its casino brand TOTO, received Dutch remote gambling licences ahead of the opening last week and are now live with the provider’s content in the country.
More than 200 exclusive Microgaming titles are currently available in the market via the company’s aggregation platform, including both new and legendary online slots, as well as a range of popular progressive jackpot titles.
Joining Microgaming’s exclusive content on the platform is a selection of more than 60 partner games from Inspired, Spearhead, Oryx and Stakelogic, with a range of titles from Spinstars coming soon.
Microgaming assisted its operators with the licence application process earlier in the year, and has since supported them with comprehensive documentation and information to help with preparations for the new regulations.
“The move represents another significant step in Microgaming’s ongoing expansion into key regulated markets. The Netherlands offers a wealth of opportunity for Microgaming and our customers, and we look forward to supporting their growth in the country for years to come. With responsible gambling at the heart of all we do, we welcome the new legislation’s comprehensive and forward-thinking approach to player protection,” Julie Allison, Director of Markets at Microgaming, said.
