The casino software provider EGT (Euro Games Technology) has made the painful decision to withdraw from its planned participation at ICE 2022 after lengthy conversations and consideration.
EGT’s participation at ICE will be fraught with dangers due to the numerous concerns surrounding this event, including health issues and an unfavourable date allocation. The spread of Omicron is still a serious problem in the UK and Europe, and it is preventing EGT from taking part in the competition. Furthermore, the event’s new pre-planned dates are difficult because they overlap with the start of the Catholic Easter holiday season, limiting the number of companies and participants.
In light of the recently announced pandemic restrictions, more and more logistical issues are arising, posing travel hurdles that will make organizing EGT’s participation at ICE 2022 extremely difficult.
“ICE London is an industry-leading exhibition and one of the most important events for EGT as a European based company. We value our partnering relationship with the organisers and are looking forward to next year’s edition of the London Expo with the firm believe that ICE will once again be a bastion to celebrate the technological developments in the gaming industry”, said Nadia Popova, Chief Revenue Officer and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at EGT.
